Case 11: North Petherton 1913. ‘Wilful Tragedy’. They say lightening never strikes in the same place twice. But it did in a sleepy rural village with the death of a local family.

Case 12: West Hatch 1933. ‘A Families Shame’. During a bitterly cold winter, a schoolgirl is discovered to be pregnant. Who is the father and who is the murderer.

Case 13: Milborne Port 1934. ‘Violets Dilemma’. An interfering mother in law and marital strife lead to murder. However, this case literally changed the course of English criminal law to this day.

Case 14: Middlezoy 1947. ‘A Box Of Matches’. The death of the local pubs landlady starts a search for the killer. Suspicion falls on a nearby resettlement camp where the intricate causes of this crime could be revealed.

Case 15: Horfield 1950. ’Death Of A Moneylender’. A kindly old lady who helped out with small loans from time to time is found slain in her home. Narrowing down suspects proves far from easy.

Case 16: Plymouth 1920. ‘A Tragedy Of Love’ A recently engaged couple. Could a fatal attraction be the cause of the murder of one of them or were there other unexplained reasons.

Case 17: West Charlton 1935. ‘Saved By The Clock’ Arson and a triple murder condemn the accused to the gallows. Was this man really as guilty as it seemed or was the real culprit hiding in plain sight.

Case 18: Temple Meads 1917. ‘Platform 5’ A husband on the WW 1 front line for months on end, his wife becomes pregnant by her wayward lover. But the timetable changes for the worse in the West Country’s largest rail station, on Platform 5.

Case 19: Titson 1928 ‘The Rabbit Catcher’.  A rumour of a stash of money in the home of an elderly man leads to murder. But which of the local suspects really is guilty.

Case 20: Tregonissey 1921.’An Over Elaborate Plan’ In a small Cornish village, the death of a kindly wife and a missing devoted husband lead to a trail of deception, fraud and a murderer.
